UPGRADE 1.2 AVAILABLE!

We've made the patch version 1.2 available for download.

This global patch will update all language versions of Joint Task Force to version 1.2. If you haven't done this before, please install upgrade 1.1 first!

Patch 1.2 makes several changes to the 1.1 version including fixes to random errors.

Please note:

Prior save games are not compatible with Joint Task Force version 1.2, except for the autosaves made at the beginning of every mission!

See the fix list for a complete list of changes.

Please check the Maintenance section for all other download locations (once available).

We've made the upgrade version 1.1 available for download just after the succesfull release of Joint Task Force.

This global upgrade will update all language versions of Joint Task Force to version 1.1.

Upgrade 1.1 makes several changes to the original retail version (1.0) including:

• Fixes - Includes fixes to random errors, improved mission load times, driver updates, and other updates.
  
  
• New Map "Bosnian Railway Station" - With lots of obstacles, this 6 player multiplayer map is difficult terrain for every commander. Make use of the many objects and buildings to you own advantage while keeping a close eye on your enemies.
  
  
• New Map "Oasis" - Centered around a nice oasis in the middle of the desert, this 2 player multiplayer map demands a different approach. Outsmart your enemy and do your worst!

In the first mission you’ll neutralize a Somalian port with a small force of infantry specialists. In mission two, you’ll head deep into the Columbian jungle to smash a heavily armed cartel. In this more difficult mission you’ll have officially licensed military tech, including the Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopter and the General Dynamics M1A2 Abrams tank, as part of your arsenal.

JOINT TASK FORCE RECEIVES GAMER.NL E3 RTS BRONZE AWARD!

Good news from Dutch soil. GAMER.NL, a leading Dutch online video games magazine, has awarded Joint Task Force a bronze medal for best RTS game shown at the E3 2006.

GAMER.NL says that Joint Task Force is one of the few new RTS titles that will bring new life to its genre.

JOINT TASK FORCE TO DEPLOY DURING FALL 2006

JTF amps up the realism with officially licensed tanks, weaponry and equipment.

HD Publishing today announced that the real-time strategy PC title Joint Task Force™ (“JTF”) will hit the streets during Fall 2006. JTF is distributed by Vivendi Games. In addition, it has also been announced that the title will contain highly accurate weapons, vehicles and equipment thanks to licensing agreements with several leading military hardware manufacturers.

“Our cooperation with the military hardware manufacturers means that we can add even more realism to Joint Task Force, bringing to the market what I believe to be the most realistic modern-day warfare game to date. MOST WANTED ENTERTAINMENT - New Development Studio

HD Publishing B.V. has recently opened its own development studio based in Budapest, Hungary.

Most Wanted Entertainment KFT (MWE) consists of 3 departments all "pushing the barriers" in their respective areas - PC, Mobile and New Technology.

The first project to come out of MWE will be Joint Task Force on PC, due for launch in 2006, which will be published by HD Publishing and distributed on a worldwide basis by Vivendi Universal Games. The development team working on this title remains unchanged.

MWE has placed great focus on developing new technology for both existing and next generation platforms including amongst others PC, Xbox 360, NDS and mobile. The future will see many exciting projects emerge from this talented, innovative and forward thinking studio.

Vivendi Universal Games and HD Publishing extend agreement to include Joint Task Force

Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) and HD Publishing today announced an exclusive worldwide agreement for the modern day warfare real-time strategy (RTS) game, Joint Task Force. Under the agreement, VU Games will co-publish, market and distribute HD Publishing’s Joint Task Force for the PC in 2006 under the Sierra brand.

“Joint Task Force will appeal to gamers worldwide because they can command the front lines in tomorrow’s most hazardous war-zones including the Middle East, South America, Central Asia and the Balkans,” said Philip W. O’Neil, Chief Operating Officer and President of North America for Vivendi Universal Games. “No other strategy game is as gritty or immediate as Joint Task Force.”

HD Interactive and Mithis announce Joint Task Force

Amsterdam based PC games publisher HD Interactive and Hungarian world-class games developer Mithis proudly announce their new real-time strategy game for the PC entitled Joint Task Force.

The game, a state-of-the-art military RTS with a contemporary setting, is scheduled for a worldwide release in Q2 2006.

“Joint Task Force will bring a new dimension to the RTS genre, it’s an exceptional game with unique features incorporating next generation technology. The experience of the team combined with their creative energy and technical excellence will make Joint Task Force into a fantastic game“, says HD Interactive MD Mike Horneman.

Joint Task Force is in development by a team within Mithis comprising of, amongst others, all the key personnel and creators of best selling 'Codename: Panzers - Phase One' and S.W.I.N.E..

The game will consist of 20 missions that will take us to 5 different parts of the world such as the Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkans.
